Reflections Lake, 7/1/24
While Chrissy was still here we decided to do a little hike around Reflections Lake, and then we went into Anchorage and got Moose's Tooth pizza to go, and then ate it at a park. Yummm! It was a fun day. 😊
Father's Day, 6/16/24
We spent Father's Day out enjoying the most beautiful Alaskan summer day! We first went to Reflections Lake, and then we went to Eagle River Nature Center, and then that evening we went to the littles' school and played at the playground. We definitely made the most of this midnight sun. We had such a fun day celebrating Scott and all he does for our little family. We love you so much!

Ruby's Baptism Pictures, 7/4/20
It was so fun taking these pictures of our sweet Ruby! I wanted to get some pictures taken of her for a baptism invitation, and I thought it would be really pretty to have her wear a fresh flower crown. (I took some baptism pics for one of our friends a few years ago, and she also wore a flower crown. I loved how her pictures turned out so I wanted to do something similar.) I bought the flower crown from Paper Peony and she did such a good job! Ruby (and the other girls, see here) had fun wearing it, and the pictures turned out beautiful! We love our Ruby so much and are so proud of her decision to be baptized!
4th of July at Reflections Lake, 7/4/20
The 4th of July was a little different this year with all the parades and fun runs canceled, but we still had a very fun day! We started the morning off by finding out that my parents had made their flight and they were going to come visit us! (They always fly standby so we never know exactly what day they'll make it. And with covid and reduced flights and fewer passengers allowed it's even harder to fly standby. We actually didn't think they were going to make it up at all, but we're so glad they did!!!)
I had bought a beautiful flower crown for Ruby to wear to take some pictures of her for her baptism invitation, so I headed out right after breakfast with all the girls to Reflections Lake to take some pics. Afterwards we went home and cleaned up and got ready for my parents to arrive! Scott also left early to help some of our good friends in Anchorage who had some flooding in their basement, and afterwards he picked up my parents from the airport. It's a little hard to travel right now, and my parents actually had to take a covid test when they arrived at the airport, and then a week later too. Scott also had to get tested for his work, but luckily all the tests came back negative.
It was so good to have my parents with us (they were able to stay with us for two whole weeks and we loved it!) Of course it all went by too quickly, but we were able to do so much and see so many pretty places! I'll be doing a ton of blog posts!
These pics are from Reflections Lake. I wanted to get some pics of all the girls in their red, white, and blue so I had Ruby wear her flag shirt for a few pics, and then she changed into her white dress in the car, haha. Ruby's baptism pics will be in the next post, but for now, Happy Birthday America!

Reflections Lake, 4/29/20
At the end of April we were able to walk around Reflections Lake and we spotted some beautiful trumpeter swans. Most of the lake was still frozen (so the reflections weren't that great), but the swans were hanging out near the back of the lake that had thawed out. We had a fun day and the girls were good little hikers!

Reflections Lake, 5/1/19
It's just starting to green up, and by next month or so everything should really come alive and be so beautiful! A few weeks ago we took Noelle and Robyn (we asked Ruby if she wanted to get checked out of school early to go on a family hike, but she said she'd rather stay at school, haha) to Reflections Lake. We enjoyed the beautiful sunshine and both girls were such good little walkers all the way around. Enjoy these cute pics! 😊
Reflections Lake, 2/28/19
While Ruby was at school and Scott was at work one day, Chrissy and I took Noelle and Robyn to Reflections Lake. It was such a beautiful day and both girls actually walked about 2/3 the way around all by themselves! We were so impressed! (It's not easy to do in big boots and all your snow clothes!) I think this was the longest and happiest Noelle has ever been in the snow, haha! Enjoy the pics!
